1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register for Snag Tracker, we collect:

  • Name: To personalize your experience.
  • Email address: Used for authentication and communication purposes.

You may choose to sign in using Google, Facebook, or email/password via AWS Cognito. We do not store your password or access your authentication credentials.

Property and Snag Information

Once registered, you can voluntarily input:

  • Property details (e.g., address, description, etc.).
  • Snag details such as the nature of the issue, status, images of the issue, and responsible person for fixing it.

You are free to update or delete this information at any time.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data you provide to:

  • Operate and maintain the functionality of Snag Tracker.
  • Process and store your information on our secure servers, using AWS and Cloudflare to ensure data protection.
  • Provide subscription-based services, including handling payments via third-party processors (Stripe, iOS, Android app stores).

We will never sell your data to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

All data is securely stored within the UK or EU and processed using Cloudflare and AWS. We follow industry-standard practices, including encryption and access control, to ensure your data remains safe. In the event of a data breach, we will notify you in compliance with applicable regulations.

4. Payment Information

Payments for subscriptions are processed by third-party providers:

  • iOS and Android App Stores handle payments for mobile users.
  • Stripe handles payments for users subscribing outside of mobile apps.

We do not store or have access to your payment details.

5. User Rights

Under the GDPR and other relevant laws, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You can request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Right to Erasure: You can delete your data within the app or by contacting us. Once deleted, it cannot be recovered.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can object to the processing of your data in certain circumstances.

6. Retention of Data

If your subscription expires or is canceled, we will delete your account and all associated data (property and snag details) within 7 days.

You can delete your account from the app. If you delete your account, we will remove all data within 7 days. However, we may retain some information for legal or regulatory purposes, such as transaction records.

You may submit a request for your data to be deleted at any time without logging in by contacting us at [email protected] from the email address on your account.

We believe in the right to be forgotten, and once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use cookies or identifiable tracking technologies, such as Google Analytics, to track users across sessions. However, Cloudflare may use non-identifiable cookies to manage your sessions and enhance security, and our application uses some essential cookies to maintain your session and ensure the app functions correctly.

8. Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party services for certain functions:

  • AWS services for data storage, processing and for authentication.
  • Cloudflare for the processing and storage of uploaded images and other data.
  • Stripe, iOS, and Android app stores for processing payments.

These services are GDPR-compliant and handle your data securely.

9. Use by Minors

Snag Tracker is designed for adults who own or manage properties and is not intended for children. If we discover that a minor has registered an account, we will delete their data immediately.

10. Acceptable Use

By using Snag Tracker, you agree not to upload any inappropriate content or use the app for unintended purposes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.

11. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. Any changes will be communicated to you via email. Please review the policy periodically.
